Design A Legacy

Designing a legacy? I thought this was about designing furniture.

Well, yes and no. Everyone has a story. Each life possess it’s own tale of adventure, struggle, triumph, and joy. When you come to me to design a custom piece, you come to me to further your legacy. It isn’t about designing the piece to simply fit a particular space and coordinate with the rest of the interior.

My approach is much deeper than that. I want to get to know you and what you’re about. The purpose of the piece is to be an expression of who you are and help tell the story of your life. With this approach, it becomes more than a piece of furniture. It becomes a testimony to your life, your purpose, your journey. Commissioning a piece is more than just designing an heirloom. It is designing your legacy.

The Process

Contact me below, and let me know what you have in mind. Include a brief description of the type of piece, where it will go in the home, and how it should serve you.

I will respond and we’ll set up a time to begin the discussion to help discover what this piece should do for you and say about you.

When we reach the design stage, I will send all renderings via email for your approval. The designs will consist of hand drafted and 3d computer sketches. This really helps you see the piece as a completed entity.

Once a final design is approved, I will set a tentative start date. During the course of the project, I will send update emails with photos just to keep you informed, and don’t be surprised if your piece shows up in the Studio Blog once in a while. (Hey who  doesn’t like a little fame?)

When the piece is finished, it will be crated and shipped via a specialized art transport service. This guarantees safe handling and delivery of your most precious cargo.

Take a look at what others have been inspired to have designed for their legacy.

As a craftsman, I put my entire being into the pieces I create. I believe the soul of the recipient must be present in the commissioned pieces as well.
